For the past few years, we were having some challenges with our kitchen
where we had poor control of smoke since we were using firewood and we
would have a problem with the smoke which destroyed the iron-sheet roof by
blackening it and making it rust which then led to the development of holes on
the iron sheets and this enabled rain to enter the kitchen. This rain on
reaching the fire would cause fire extinguish and would be dangerous if
rain comes into contact with electricity. We’ve also been having problems
Lighting the fire during the rainy seasons since the firewood was wet and
couldn’t light faster but was extremely smoky.
Luckily, we had God-sent sponsors from Carrefour who are now building for us
a modern kitchen that will be using gas and now we will not be using firewood
anymore also the problems of smoke and spoiling of Iron Sheets will come to
an end and the cooks will have a wonderful and efficient time in cooking. We
are so glad for having such a wonderful opportunity and the sponsors as well.
Earlier on we were using a lot of time cooking which would sometimes
cause delays during the lunch hours or supper hours but we believe that after
having the Gas-Kitchen we won’t be having a problem with time wastage and
all the meals will be ready at the required time.
The kitchen will also have a store and freezer inside, which will help store raw
foods like tomatoes, milk, etc. Right now, the construction is still in process
and we are eager as we wait for its end of construction. This is a very big
advancement in the home and it is such a big love. The kitchen is going to help
the home in a very large area. We thank Carrefour for building us Modern
Kitchen; we are all happy with this act and may God bless them abundantly.
