It is my pleasure to introduce myself as Oyindo Paul Oduor. When I was a student, life in the garden was not so easy, but Daddy Moses and Mum Silvia made sure we had everything we needed to continue our education.
This year has been a blessing since there has been a big increase in the number of children in the Children’s Garden Home and School. It is a good thing, but it comes with its own challenges. Since I am included now among those who are caring for the children, there is a big challenge due to a lack of resources. Especially when it comes to basic needs.
The lack of beds, blankets, and mattresses has also been a challenge. According to the director of the school popularly known as Daddy Moses Ndung’u Said that He is facing a big challenge to provide food and personal items like soap, Colgate, petroleum Jelly etc. He said that he is wishing to provide the best but he is not able since there are less funds. He is wishing if there could be a well-wisher to help and that would be a very kind and loving heart which would really be thanked and appreciated.
Currently the new students are in school and they are happy since they can see a bright future. Lots of them who had no hopes now have hopes and even stress free.

Keep writing, youth journalists of CGNN. Write not just about the challenges, write about possible solutions, write about your dreams and aspirations also. Write about your bold actions taken to face the challenges head on. Write about precious lessons learnt.
Apply the education you received in school into everyday life to create values, to solve problems, and then write about them to share with the world.
Keep writing, kids.
