Chat club was started by our lovely mother Natalie Hernandez together with her colleagues and the family two years ago. First, we are really grateful for this opportunity that Mum Natalie has availed for us and we are really happy. What we mostly do is just as from the name, it is chatting. Children are able to Chat with other students and Teachers from outside Africa and here, their English gets corrected when they make little mistakes in the language. We are able to know each other`s  background as we are sharing ideas and also know the problems that are facing us in our day-to-day activities. We are also able to learn from those who we are chatting with and they also learn from us. Mum Natalie Hernandez is the one who started and then afterwards she found volunteers who were ready to share their love in teaching us. Right now, we have 5 volunteer teachers and a group of Students from Canford School who always take their wonderful time to spend with us in a chat club where we get to chat and learn. Since we can’t have all of them chatting with only one group of students, each of them has a day during the week to chat with a certain group of students.

We have five sessions a week where by the first session is normally held on Mondays where there is a group of students who do chat club with the student from Canford School located in England under the supervision of Mr. Richard A. Wilson who is a teacher in Canford School who makes sure that the session is going on well and ensures all the students in Canford are ready as early as possible and He leads the whole session by ensuring there is proper coordination and cooperation by all  students. We are always happy to meet the students online and chat because we get to learn new things from them and they also get to learn from us. The 2nd session is held on Wednesdays where other different students have a session but now it’s not with a school but with Mum Kathy and She always teaches the students on interesting topics and also, she gets to learn from them and the children gets to learn from her as well and they really have a great time learning.

The 3rd session is also done by different students and the teacher as well. The students are taught by Mom Sumathy and the students get the opportunity to learn from Her and get corrected when it comes to fluent English speaking and learn different aspects in life and they also chat on different interesting things.

  The 4th is done by Lochan and it is done by One Student from CGH and the Student gets to learn interesting things from Lochan and the student is always happy chatting with Lochan. The final session is done by Teacher Amari and it contains two students and is done every Sunday. The students are able to learn and Chat with Mum Amari and they are taught different sought of things which encourages them to work hard and not to stop at any cost.

Chat club has really helped many students at large First, through chat club students now are at another level in fluent English speaking and we are really happy because right now we are not shy in speaking English. We have also learnt to interact with people and talk without fear and be free while speaking with others. During Monday sessions we are able to speak with the students from Canford School and we get to know which course they are pursuing and what made them choose the course. We are able to also know how their normal school day looks and what they do during leisure and many more things. We are happy to learn many things from our teachers and they always encourage us to work hard and we always listen to them and we really love all our teachers and we are always happy and ready to listen to our teachers. We are happy since the number of volunteers is increasing slowly by slowly and it’s such a blessing to have them.

To Mum Natalie Hernandez and all the organizers and the whole family who have made this organization possible we are really grateful to you and we love you big.  We continue to invite many more people so that we can be able to share this love together and have a great time learning from each other.
