On 20th of October is an auspicious day in Kenya since we celebrate our heroes. This year in 2023, Children’s Garden got a chance to celebrate with citizens at the event which took place at our sub-county. The invitation came earlier and so we got much time to prepare by practicing believing that practice makes perfect.
On that day, we were dressed in uniform and therefore we looked spick and span. Despite the fact that we carried three performances with us which included: the choir which we praised and congratulated our heroes, the Indian dancers and the acrobatics. Each with their costumes.
At nine O’clock, we started the journey to the event place and since the place was near, we footed.
On arrival we found the place arranged and our sits preserved in a special tent. Shortly, we went for a five minute practice and soon after we had finished, we made a que to the field where the performance took place. It was a very great privilege since of all the people and schools which had presentations, we were the only ones who had three items to present. It started with choir, followed by the Indian dancers and later on the acrobats.
Due to our good entertainment, the guest of honour, Mr. Kiarie John who is the Member of Parliament of our sub county, Dagoretti, bought for us a drink and bread which we used to calm our body with. The event went on well and thereafter we returned to our home with nothing but stories to tell those who remained.
