We all prepared ourselves for the day to showcase our ability in the field. We trained and even made our field ready for the day. Before the day,our teachers gathered us add arranged us for the following day.It was a competition from grade 6 to form four. The programme was to start with athletics, football, and volleyball.
On the final day, people came to school dressed in their correct attires ready to show their capability.Everyone looked energetic with attractive smiles wearing their faces. The music instruments to mesmerise the players were set it started.
At eight,it all started. You could read their minds that were saying “I Am going to win.” The athletes, both boys and girls, did their best but following the saying,in every match, there should always be a winner and a loser,Celestine and Sharon emerged the best and Jamein for the boys.
On the other hand, volleyball, form three beat all the other classes for girls and form four boys also took a cup for the boys. The most interested part got its way,the football. The grade nine girls made their way to win and the form four boys won even after playing against the teachers. They made history indeed.
After the games,we all united as a family, congratulating the winners and encouraging those who didn’t make it.The time was minimum for analysing the winners and awarding them.We were talked to by the teachers and they set dates for the awarding and the next competitions. We left the school all satisfied with a lesson that,”a lion which has been rained on is not a cat.
