My name is Ann Njoki, my mother’s name is Keziah and my siblings’ names are
Mercy, Lilian, and John. I have no father. Am 17 years old and in grade 11. My siblings are younger than me so I’m the first born in my family. I studied my primary school in Children’s Garden Home and School but when I reached Grade Six, I left Children’s Garden Home and School and went to stay with my mother in a town called Eldoret.
my mother saw that I would not stay at home doing nothing So she decided to find me a school to study in. I left my sister Mercy in the Children’s Garden Home and School and so she wanted to leave Children’s Garden and go home but Daddy Moses told her not to go home and soon She forget about going home.
My mother was a single mother and so she could not afford to pay school fees for the two of us that is me and my younger sister Lilian and because Lilian was already in school my Mum looked for the cheapest School ever where my school fees were only 220 Kenyan shillings because it was a government school which was called Langus Primary School but during my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education(KCPE) season which was one week to KCPE, I had an ear problem which is a problem from my birth and it made me unable to revise my KCPE PAPER and well, I had to do the KCPE paper that way but I did not get very good marks I got 255 marks which I’m not proud of but I went and prayed to God and thanked Him for if it was not because of Him I would not have passed 250 marks.
For my secondary school, I was called to a very good secondary school but my Mum could not afford it so Daddy Moses decided to help me study and I came back to Children’s Garden Home and School and now I’m doing my secondary studies and I’m in grade 11. I joined the Journalism club because I loved announcing to people what had happened and what was about to happen and it is my passion that when I finish school, I want to become a journalist.
