It was on 31st December 2024 when the children’s garden home was celebrating a new year.Every child’s face was shining with a smile. Every funny activity was carried out that day mainly to enjoy and bring more flexibility in our body. One of the activities was dancing since dancing is my hobby. When the dance was at a high peak, unfortunately something entered into my left eye. I didn’t notice at that time because I felt no pain and continued to dance. But later my returned red and the situation got worse. Then decided to report the issue to mum Sylvia that night. To my surprise the next morning,I was unable to see completely. After two days, the situation worsened and I Was taken to Lions Eye Sight Hospital for a check-up. After one day,the results were out and the doctor recommended that I was to undergo an eye surgery or else I would lose my eyesight in a period of three days. The surgery was to cost 140,000 KSH which the home was unable to afford. Luckily after sharing my story,I Got support from Waves foundation who paid for the whole surgery treatment together with madam Victoria who gave a hand of help for medicine. I really showcased an adverse amount of development in my left-eye which made me lower my self-esteem and my neediness to learn and to do better at all cost almost seemed hopeless. This states in my opinion that the donors who supported were a blessing in disguise.I really thank all those people who supported me and also I Am extremely satisfied to see myself on another level and so invested in wanting to know more and desire to do well not just academically but in every aspect of life.
